One afternoon's shooting the fall foliage in the neighborhood I live in New York with an XL2. I managed more-or-less successfully to avoid including any buildings. I find the presence of even one meagre tree in the midst of the city can feel immensely transporting.

Speaking of trainspotting, this fall foliage footage is actually a result of my needing to acquire shots of a freight train for a certain project which normally passes several times a day at the location I chose but for whatever reason never appeared that day. It began to rain in the afternoon and continued to rain for the remainder of the week, after which there was little left of any foliage to mask even the most modest and shy of buildings, so winter came along to consecrate the barrenness in silvery grey and white.
